Lovell native McDowell starring in new thriller
Film production company Tidewater Productions announced this week that Lovell native Ethan McDowell is starring in a new thriller.
Tidewater publicity announced: “From the small streets of Lovell, Wyoming, to the international film festival circuit, actor Ethan McDowell has made an inspiring leap from hometown roots to leading man. Known for his appearances in “The Walking Dead” and other high-profile projects, McDowell now takes center stage in his most challenging role yet — the haunting independent thriller “Take from Me,” which releases digitally next Tuesday, Aug. 26, via BayView Entertainment on Amazon and Fandango at Home.
“Shot entirely in rural Virginia with a local cast and crew, “Take from Me” has already made waves on the festival circuit,” Tidewater continued, “winning Best Picture at the Red Rose Film Festival and screening internationally in the UK. McDowell delivers a gripping performance as a troubled alcoholic clinging to the ghosts of his past in a film that blends slow-burn suspense with a deeply human story of grief and temptation.”
The Internet Movie Database describes the plot as follows: “Take From Me, alternatively titled Love Dogs, is a gripping thriller that follows the life of John, a grieving local man, as he finds solace and intrigue in a mysterious young woman who purchases his old farmhouse. Simultaneously, a sense of unease grips the town when a resident goes missing, leading the local police captain to suspect a sinister presence looming over their community.”
