Lovell, Rocky Mountain middle school runners compete at Worland

The Lovell and Rocky Mountain middle school cross country teams traveled to Worland last Friday for the Worland Warriors Invitational. Runners from Burlington, Cody, Lander, Lovell, Powell, Riverton, Rocky Mountain, Thermopolis and Worland competed in the meet.

Good weather and a fast course helped produce solid times throughout the day. The middle school girls race included 125 runners, while 107 runners competed in the boys race. Lovell finished sixth in the girls team standings with 160 points.

Lovell eighth grader Treleah Two Two led the area girls, placing 14th in 14:09. Sixth grader Johnny Allen was the top Lovell boy, finishing 39th in 14:21. Rocky Mountain seventh grader Canyon Weinand was the top runner for the Grizzlies.
