Marian Z. Brinkerhoff of Powell died Oct. 31, 2015, at her son’s home in Powell. She was born in Lovell on July 15, 1933, to Elmer Leroy Zeller and Phebe Louise Zeller.Marian graduated from Lovell High School in 1950 and earned a bachelor of science degree from Eastern Montana College with certification in elementary and special education in 1982.She married Arnold Edward Brinkerhoff on Jan. 4, 1951, in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. The couple lived in Williston, Lovell, Worland, Moorcroft and Powell.Marian was a homemaker, preschool director and teacher, first grade teacher, teacher’s aide, substitute teacher and piano teacher. She was also a foster parent for 11½ years to 18 children, worked with Park County Services Child Protection and worked with the elderly and disabled individuals in their homes.She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Powell Valley Genealogy Club, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Daughters of the American Revolution and 4-H.She once won a trip to Chicago while in high school for bread making. Her hobbies included family history/genealogy, canning, flower gardening, sewing, crocheting and piano and was always a prizewinner at the Park County Fair.She is survived by her spouse of almost 64 years Arnold Edward Brinkerhoff; sons and daughters-in-law Bart (Jan) of Powell, Gary (Margaret) of Powell, Mark (Kathy) of Evanston, Ward (Christina) of Evanston, Bruce of Powell and Brian (Shauna) of Tampa, Fla; daughter and son-in-law Bonnie (Robert) Zabel of Gillette; brothers and sisters-in-law Brent (Louise) Zeller of Thermopolis and Max (Cindy) Zeller of Casper; sister and brother-in-law Kaye (Larry) Coppock of Caldwell, Idaho; 32 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her daughter Cathy Jo, grandson Aaron Brinkerhoff, twin granddaughters Courtney and Alissa Brinkerhoff, her parents, sister Elma Jolley and brother Ron Zeller.Visitation will take place on Friday, Nov. 6, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the Avenue E LDS Church in Powell. Funeral services will be held on Nov. 7 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Avenue E building in Powell.
