A few weeks back, the Standard quietly entered its 116th year of publication. Think about that for a moment: When its first photogs, writers, designers and editors did their thing, Teddy Roosevelt was the president. The Spanish flu hadn't happened. TVs didn't exist. And Wi-Fi...well, everyone got along fine without it.

We mention this to point out that, for the 6,032nd straight week (or so), we've printed all the news that fit to print. In this week's issue, available now and on newsstands:

• Big Horn County officials react to the two positive COVID-19 tests that were announced over the Memorial Day weekend.

• A little late but no less anticipated, Yellowstone National Park has opened. One of our reporters was among the first to see it.

• The Big Horn County Commission opted not to sign a letter that would have been sent to the governor, stating that it would not comply with any further business closures in the COVID-19 crisis.

• Marlys Good catches up with some of the track-and-field greats in GHS history.

• South Big Horn County Hospital has hired a certified physician assistant to work primarily in its ER and hospitals. Get to know Adam Sproat.

All that and more in this week's issue. Thank you, Greybull and surrounding areas, for supporting your community newspaper for 116 years!
