Medicine Mountain Road to temporarily close on July 10

Bighorn National Forest Road 12 on Medicine Mountain will be temporarily closed to motorized vehicles from the parking area gate to the cattleguard above the Medicine Wheel between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026. Foot traffic will be allowed.

The closure is intended to prevent interruptions during the Medicine Wheel and Medicine Mountain Historic Preservation Plan consulting parties annual meeting.
