North Big Horn Hospital recently added Kaitlyn (Bresee) Davidson, PA-C, to their staff of providers.

She was born and raised in Tooele, Utah, and went to Physician Assistant School at Idaho State University. She met Ross Davidson of Burlington on the internet, and on April 26 the two were married and share a life with his four children.

“I always wanted to raise a family in a small town like this,” she said. “Everyone is really kind, and it is a charming place where it feels like the south with its hospitality but has the perks of being in Wyoming. I have really enjoyed it so far.”

She is fresh out of PA school, and this is her first opportunity to practice her teachings.

She has gone through rotations in different areas of healthcare, and with her background in physical therapy, she originally thought orthopedics caught her eye.

“I feel like orthopedics are more cut and dry than other things,” she explained. “It is clear when someone has a broken bone and how to fix it, whereas in some instances, it is much harder to determine what is going wrong. That can also be the fun part of medicine, to piece together the symptoms.”

Since this is her first job, she doesn’t specialize in any particular area, but the hospital plans on utilizing her for family practice and women’s health.

Davidson enjoys being outdoors, especially hiking in recent years. She and her husband like going on waterfall hikes and spending time with their families.

“I also like training for things to stay motivated to exercise,” Davidson said. “I’ve done a few triathlons and whatnot, but I am not currently training for any.”

On Thursday, June 26, there will be an open house in the clinic lobby from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for the public to come meet and greet Davidson.

“I’m happy to be here and excited to serve the people in this area and get to know them,” she said.
