No Kings: Vote Early rally Saturday in Greybull

Concerned Citizens of Big Horn County will host a No Kings: Vote Early rally Saturday, Oct. 17, in coordination with the nationally organized event. The Big Horn County group will meet north of the stoplight on Sixth Street in Greybull from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Organizer Tom Harrington reported the event will offer nonpartisan voting information. Early voting must be completed by November 2; Harrington hoped his group would be able to organize rides to the Big Horn County Courthouse in Basin for voters.

“Whatever we can do to get more people to vote, we’ll do it,” Harrington said, regardless of their political affiliation.

The event is not a protest but a rally. Greybull will host one of nine planned in Wyoming as of Tuesday. For more information on the No Kings Nationwide Day of Action, visit https://www.nokings.org.

Separately, the concerned citizens group has organized demonstrations against Prop 1 the past three Sundays along Highway 14 near the mouth of Shell Canyon. They intend to continue their efforts through the general election, rain or shine.
