North Big Horn Hospital Foundation to participate in WyoGives for the first time

Wherever you live in Wyoming, nonprofits are woven into daily life. They serve communities in every corner of the state, often behind the scenes and without recognition, helping meet needs, create opportunities and strengthen the places Wyomingites call home. 

On July 15 WyoGives invites people across Wyoming to recognize that impact and support the nonprofits that help make our state a better place. 

Hosted by the Wyoming Nonprofit Network (WNN), WyoGives is a 24-hour statewide online day of giving that connects donors with hundreds of nonprofits through one easy-to-use platform at WyoGives.org. 

Since launching in 2020, WyoGives has helped raise more than $20 million for Wyoming nonprofits. In 2025 alone, 9,840 donors made 19,488 gifts, raising more than $5.75 million to support 430 organizations serving communities across the state. 

Those numbers represent far more than the dollars raised. They represent meals served, trails maintained, health improved, animals cared for, veterans supported, cultural programs sustained, youth mentored and communities strengthened. 

“WyoGives reflects the generosity of Wyoming and the collective impact of the nonprofits serving communities across our state,” said Katherine Ratigan, WNN Communications and Program Manager. “In Wyoming, we know what it means to show up for our neighbors. Every day, nonprofits are putting meals on the table for families through local food banks, helping older adults get to medical appointments, creating opportunities that help young people succeed, providing affordable healthcare and protecting wildlife, trails and open spaces that define our state. Every gift made through WyoGives helps these organizations continue serving their neighbors and building strong communities across Wyoming.”

On Wednesday, July 15, the North Big Horn Hospital Foundation will participate in WyoGives for the first time. Funds raised this year will replace the nurse call system at New Horizons Care Center, helping ensure residents can quickly and reliably reach caregivers when they need assistance.

“We strive to make New Horizons feel as much like home as possible while providing the safety and support our residents need every day. The nurse call system is one of the most important ways residents can quickly alert our staff when they need assistance,” said MarKay McIntosh, Director of Nursing.

Every gift helps support the comfort, safety and independence of the residents who call New Horizons Care Center home. Together, we can help ensure every call is answered.

This year’s theme, The Power of One, highlights the role each person can play in strengthening Wyoming. Every donation, every shared story, every volunteer hour and every act of generosity contributes to something bigger than any one individual alone. 

Across Wyoming, those individual actions help nonprofits expand their reach, serve more people and build stronger communities. 

On July 15, donors can visit WyoGives.org to explore participating nonprofits and make gifts directly to more than 500 participating nonprofits across the state.

Throughout the day, participating organizations may amplify donations through matching gifts and challenges secured by their own supporters. In addition, more than $20,000 in WyoGives prizes will be awarded throughout the day, and eligible organizations will receive a proportional share of the $1 million Hughes Charitable Foundation Incentive Pool, helping participating nonprofits boost their fundraising efforts. 

“At its heart, WyoGives is about people showing up for one another,” Ratigan added. “That is something we value deeply in Wyoming. Every day nonprofit organizations are working alongside communities to meet local needs. WyoGives offers an opportunity for all of us to invest in that work and be part of the positive impact happening in communities across Wyoming.”
