After a search of several days in the Big Horn Mountains, the body of Stephen Garvey (Gervay), who had been missing since March 16, was found where he had fallen exhausted in the deep snow and there died. The searching party found the body late on Sunday evening.
There were no bruises on the body or any evidences that he had suffered any injuries, and it is believed that he was trying to find his way out of Devil's Canyon in the night time or in a dense fog when overcome by exhaustion. He was found within 100 yards of the Sioux Trail, where he had left his skis, and from where the going would have been comparatively good over the one and one-half miles to his home.

Lovell town council members refused a petition Monday night asking that the speed bumps on Shoshone and Nevada avenues be removed. The petition, presented by former Lovell police officer Earl Wallace, was signed by 25 names. However, the council did agree that the bumps were “too sharp” and ordered widening the bumps as an immediate solution. At Wallace's urging, the council agreed to change the bumps to dips, but said it would be at least two months before the change would be made.

Rocky Mountain Middle School continues their dominance in the Wyoming Odyssey of the Mind competition, sending four teams in the last three years to the World OM competition. The team's Over the Mountain problem was to design and build a vehicle which would embark on a journey, visiting three different countries, one of which could be fictional. The sixth graders visited CandyLand, Hawaii and France. While in each country, the vehicle had to initiate a cultural event. Also during the journey, the vehicle had to change the mode of propulsion and cross different terrains, including traversing a team-designed mountain.
The team of Joel Simmons, AJ Jones, Jenny Seitz, Chandra Osborne and Angela Hatch will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, May 26-29 for the World Finals.
