Packed lineup for hospital foundation golf tournament

It’s looking like a full lineup of teams participating in the 23rd annual North Big Horn Hospital Friends of the Foundation Golf Tournament scheduled for early September at the Foster Gulch Golf Course near Lovell.

The annual North Big Horn Hospital fundraising tournament will take place Saturday, Sept. 12, sponsored by the Hospital Foundation.

There are 20 teams signed up for the 18-hole, four-person scramble, Foundation Director Payton Gambill said. Check-in is at 8:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

All proceeds from the tournament – team, hole and flag sponsorships – will benefit the cardiac rehabilitation department for new equipment, Gambill said.

“The golf tournament is always a fun day and a great example of our community coming together to support local healthcare,” Gambill said. “We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of our sponsors, golfers and volunteers.”

Team sponsors this year are NEPECO, Midway Construction, Gambill, NBHH, Lenhart, Mason & Associates, Mountain Construction, TH Custom Builders, A & E Design, S.E. Incorporated, DJW Plumbing, Family Vision Clinic, Club Dauntless, Bairco, Baxendale, Wyo Electric, Wilson Brothers Construction, Bank of Lovell and the Lovell Chronicle.

Participating teams will receive tumbler to-go cups, an opportunity to win hole prizes and a barbecue dinner at the conclusion of the tournament. A $10,000 hole-in-one prize is also available for just the right shot on hole number two.

Hole sponsors so far are Copenhaver, Kitchen & Kolpitcke, Vision West, Lovell Dental, Rawhide Mechanical and the Red Apple.

Golfers can also take part in a 50/50 raffle and enter to win a variety of great raffle prizes throughout the day. The winning team will receive $400, second place $200 and third place $100.
