Playoff decides Lovell’s Days close-scoring golf tournament

A battle between two teams for the Lovell’s Days Golf Tournament championship in the gross scoring division had to be decided by a playoff at the Foster Gulch Golf Course, according to final results released by course management.

The three-man scramble was organized by Midway Construction and Dirtwork.

The trio of Craig, Tashie and Carter Lundberg placed first, edging the team of Kirby Winland, McKay Baxendale and Josh Sponsel.

Eighteen teams played in the tournament.

In net scoring, the trio of Tom Bassett, Kris Brimhall and Steve Coleman took the title, and the team of Randy Wacker, Steve Revill and Kevin Winterholler placed second.

Deuce pots were won by the Bassett, Brimhall, Coleman team; the Wacker, Revill, Winterholler team; and the Winland, Baxendale, Sponsel team.

Flag prize winners were Jake Bischoff, Carter Lundberg, Carter Olsen, Tom Bassett, Craig Winterholler, Shane Durtsche, Klete Kinser Jr., Nick Oliver, Weston Hendershot, Winland, Wacker, Kade Durtsche, McKay Baxendale and Allan Snyder.

Sponsors were Midway Construction and Dirtwork, Lovell Dental, Big Horn Dispatch, Pryor Mountain Engineering, K9 Elite, Landmark Construction, Pryor Mountain Electric, Midway Auto & RV Sales and Haskell Furniture and Flooring.
