Police report: ‘Missing’ 3-year-old found hiding under his bed

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of August 10-16:

August 10: 1:47 p.m. – A family on Carmon Avenue reported that their 3-year-old boy was missing and hadn’t been seen for about 30 minutes. An officer responded and searched the living room, bathroom and the boy’s bedroom, where he was found hiding under a bunkbed.

6:53 p.m. – An officer helped a man get into a vehicle after his electric scooter had run out of juice.

August 11: 9:09 p.m. – A 911 call led an officer to a domestic argument between a male and female on Lincoln Avenue. The two were separated for the night.

August 12: 2:57 p.m. – An officer scheduled a civil standby at 4 p.m. for a party who was removing items from a house on East Third.

4:18 p.m. – Police spoke to a driver who drove through cones at the Sip Stop beverage truck on Main Street, telling him not to do that again.

August 13: 1:18 p.m. – A man on Road 12 called to say his carbon monoxide alarm was going off and that his wife was lightheaded and had been sick, though he felt OK. An officer responded with the fire chief and found a high level of carbon monoxide in the home. The home was ventilated, but the couple was advised to not stay in the home that night.

2:43 p.m. – A caller reported an older woman – late 70s -- walking down Jersey Avenue in the middle of the street, appearing lost. An officer made contact with the woman, who said she just wanted to go for a walk and was heading back home for some ice cream.

6:16 p.m. – A caller from the RV park behind the Travelodge reported that a neighbor had stolen her garden wagon. She retrieved the wagon and did not wish to pursue charges but requested that an officer speak to her neighbor.

August 14: 5:25 a.m. – An officer successfully performed a vehicle unlock at Good2Go.

11:50 a.m. – A caller on Oregon Avenue said she was concerned about her neighbor, who reportedly had moldy food on her kitchen counter and a badly bruised arm. An officer responded and found that the woman, in her 90s, was aware of her surroundings, had bandaged her own arm and said her family checks on her daily.

2:11 p.m.—A man on Washington Avenue reported receiving threatening text messages. The sender was advised to stop making the threats.

3:35 p.m. – A caller on East 10th Street reported that someone had siphoned gas from his boat, saying he put in 10 gallons on Tuesday and when he went to take the boat out on Friday, there wasn’t “a drop in there.” He said he didn’t need an officer to respond and simply wanted to report the incident.

7:06 p.m. – An officer assisted the Wyoming Highway Patrol with the arrest of Tyler Michael Harvey of Cowley for possession of marijuana and methamphetamine.

August 15: 12:12 a.m. – An officer noticed a truck door left open on Oregon Avenue. The officer knocked on the door of the home, and the owner checked out the truck and closed the door.

2:01 a.m. – An officer responded to a call from a woman at Bair’s Trailer Court whose teenage daughter “wasn’t where she was supposed to be.” When the mother returned with her daughter, the officer administered a portable breath test and cited the young woman for MIP.

6:14 p.m. – A citizen turned in two cell phones and a charging cable found at the camper park on Quebec Avenue. The items were still at the police station as of Tuesday afternoon.

8:57 p.m. – A caller on Oregon Avenue reported that an elderly woman – her neighbor -- had fallen and was concerned about her, though she was able to get up. An officer checked on her, and she was fine, other than having a sore knee.

10:42 p.m. – With a deputy in the Greybull area and a highway patrol trooper in Cody, a Lovell officer responded to the scene of a car vs. cow crash near Byron until the other agencies could arrive. The driver was uninjured.

August 16: 12:12 a.m. – Passersby found and brought in a set of keys spotted at the Main Street Car Wash. The set included one Ford key, one remote and one leather keychain bearing the name Fremont Motors.

2:29 a.m. – An officer assisted at the scene of a house fire on Shoshone Avenue.

7:19 p.m. – A caller reported “young juveniles” riding a four-wheeler “pretty quickly” on Lane 12 and Shoshone Avenue. An officer spoke to the youths and told them they needed to ride with an adult. When they said their parents weren’t home, the officer told them to park the four-wheeler at home and followed them to make sure they made it home safely.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
