The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of December 11 to December 17:

10:18 a.m.- The Bank of Lovell called to say that they had received a fraudulent check. She had the bank check out the check who found the check was fraudulent and had no monetary value.
7:13 p.m.- A goldendoodle which had been rescued from Montana was surrendered to animal control. The owner paid the relinquishment fee and left the dog.
10:00 p.m.- A suspicious person, allegedly tampering with a fuse box, was reported at Western Apartments on Jersey Ave. after the caller reported a power outage. An officer made contact with the individuals and found that they were trying to figure out if the breakers had been overloaded, because the whole complex was missing power.
Dec. 16: 12:55 a.m. - A fight that reportedly had to be broken up with a taser was called in at Shoshone Bar and Grill. An officer investigated and talked to the bartender, who reported that there was not a major fight. He said that two parties argued, wrestled a bit and then were laughing and talking after. The bartender said that no taser had to be used.
