Police Report: Silver SUV wreaks havoc in Lovell
The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of October 30 to November 1:
Oct 30: Officers were called to complaints of harassment on Montana Avenue from a family member who complained his sister was calling in continuous welfare checks on him as a way to harass him.
Nov 1: Officers were called to West Main Street by a woman who said she woke up to her TV broken and asked an officer to come by. The boyfriend said he had broken the TV accidentally when they got in an argument. The officer reminded the couple that, since they were living together, they could not determine which property belonged to which partner.
Officers received a call about a domestic dispute on Circle Drive. A man leaving for court needed gas money, so he asked his girlfriend for money. She gave him $15, but he needed more and took money from her wallet and her debit card. The girlfriend said he locked her out and pushed her, but she decided to not press charges.
Nov 2: Harassment was reported at the Mustang Cafe. A caller reported her sister was being harassed by an acquaintance who had kicked in her apartment door and was bothering her at work. The acquaintance was trespassed from the cafe.
A welfare check at Rose City West Apartments was called in for an elderly female who had said she was going to shoot herself after finding her bank account was overdrawn. The woman was located and was fine.
Officers were again called to West Main Street to reports of two broken Xbox controllers. The officers reminded the couple that, since they lived together, officers could not determine which property belonged to which partner.
Nov 3: Officers received a call about an intoxicated individual who could barely walk driving a silver SUV with Idaho plates at Maverik. The call was referred to another agency.
Officers received a call about an intoxicated individual at Good 2 Go who was driving the same silver SUV with Idaho plates. The car was swerving all over the road and used the wrong turn signal.
A hit and run was reported on Hwy. 310. The same silver SUV with Idaho plates hit the Emblem sign, moving the sign to the middle of the road. The caller moved the sign out of the middle of the road. The call was referred to another agency.
At Maverik, a white car with Colorado plates almost hit two pedestrians while driving backwards and the driver talking on the phone. Officers were unable to locate the car.
Nov 5: Officers assisted highway patrol with an intoxicated female walking on Hwy. 310 who had been kicked out of a vehicle.
Officers were called to a domestic dispute at the Western Motel because punching, screaming and threats were heard. Officers found that only verbal threats had been exchanged. The girlfriend was mad because her boyfriend was communicating with her ex-husband, who she had a protection order against, at 4 Corners. The girlfriend was upset and had her mom pick her up.
