Police report: Threat of violence unfounded

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of October 22 - October 27:

October 22: Animal at large. Officer initiated activity at Legacy Court. Dog was picked up by an officer and returned home safely.

October 23: Police responded to a security alarm that occurred at Lovell Drug Store on East Main Street. Police responded and determined it was nothing and that an employee could not remember the code. It was a false alarm.

Police responded to a disturbance of loud music that occurred at Bair’s Trailer Court on West 2nd Street. When the officer arrived, the music was off. No future issues.

October 24: Police responded to a theft call that occurred at Rose City West Apartments on West 7th Street. Caller claimed a blue money bag with a couple hundred dollars was stolen. The older man lost a money bag in a store, and the employee told him she remembers him taking it. No evidence of theft. The bag was misplaced.

October 26: Police responded to threats that occurred on Oregon Avenue. The caller said his father lives in Meeteetse, Wyoming, and that he has been drinking. The father had told the son he was going to drive to Lovell and impose physical violence on him. Nothing happened, and police determined it was not serious.
