Police Report: Toddler escapes out bedroom window
The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of April 1-7:
April 1: Officers responded to a report of a vehicle abandoned at a local church. The vehicle, which had no license plates, was towed.
April 2: Police were asked to conduct a welfare check. The person was OK.
A local business requested a criminal trespass order be issued against a suspicious acting individual.
Police officers responded to a report of a toddler wandering a neighborhood by himself. On further investigation, they discovered the toddler had unlocked a child-proof lock and climbed out the window of a family residence. The child was returned to his parents.
Officers responded to a dispute between two neighbors over a shared well. The matter was resolved without further incident.
April 3: A criminal trespass order was enforced.
Officers responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle. It turned out the vehicle had been repossessed and the items in question were removed in the state of Montana. The reporting party was directed to take the matter to the proper jurisdiction, which would be Montana in this case.
A dog jumped out of a vehicle and bit a passerby on a nearby sidewalk. The dog owner produced proof of vaccination and agreed to pay medical bills incurred by the injured person.
April 4: Officers responded to a neighbor dispute over a large dog that was loose and charged a person on a nearby property. The owner of the property was issued a verbal warning.
April 5: Nicolas Montanez was arrested for domestic battery after his sister reported that he hit her during an argument.
April 7: Police responded to an altercation between a mother and daughter. No charges were filed.
