Police Report: Wind sends trampoline flying

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of April 29-May 5:

April 29: Officers responded to a civil dispute between family members. The matter was resolved without further incident.

May 1: A minor crash that took place on Highway 310 near Lovell was the result of a driver who fell asleep at the wheel. No injuries were reported.

A deceased squirrel was found in an animal trap on a property in Lovell. The owner of the property was out of town at the time and was not aware of the trap on his property. The matter was referred to Wyoming Game and Fish Department.

May 2: Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle reported near Lovell Elementary School. Occupants of the vehicle were about to become residents of the town and were just looking at the school their children would be attending.

A teenager who appeared to be intoxicated said he was given a substance by a stranger he met in the area. The parents reported the incident to police.

May 4: A resident of Lovell who was trying to sell an item on Facebook classifieds reported a possible scam to officers. The purchaser sent a fake PayPal address to the seller and asked for personal information.

Officers responded to an altercation between neighbors over a shared well. One of the parties had already left the scene by the time officers arrived.

May 5: A trampoline flew up and over a powerline, landing in the street following a sudden gust of wind. The owner of the trampoline was notified.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Dept. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
