Three Rivers Health has invited a representative of the Wyoming Hospital Association to its facility next week to discuss the impact of new state and federal legislation on healthcare and services in the region.

Eric Boley, president of the WHA, will speak Thursday, Aug. 21 ,from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Three Rivers Health cafeteria. A question-and-answer session will follow.

This is a free event and open to the public.

“There are multiple things impacting the health district and, by extension, the county — and not just the federal legislation,” said Joel Jackson, CEO of Three Rivers Health. “Mr. Boley will also address more specific questions about the state issues.” Among them, Jackson said, is the property tax reduction bill passed earlier this year by the legislature and how it impacts health care.

“Eric spoke at a trustees conference in late spring — before some of this happened (with the Big Beautiful Bill). He’s the person who represents us during the legislative session, giving us frequent updates. He’ll be available to answer questions, as will I,” Jackson said.
