Reclamation’s Yellowtail Dam/Big Horn Lake spring operations meeting Thursday

BILLINGS – The Bureau of Reclamation will present water supply conditions in the Big Horn Basin and discuss the agency’s proposed spring operating plan for Yellowtail Dam/Big Horn Lake at a public meeting on Thursday, May 16. The meeting topics will include:

• Water supply outlook and Boysen and Buffalo Bill operations for Water Year 2024 (BOR’s Wyoming Area Office)

• Water supply outlook and Yellowtail operations for Water Year 2024 (BOR’s Montana Area Office)

• Montana fisheries update (Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks)

• Wyoming fisheries update (Wyoming Game and Fish)

The meeting will be held at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center,
1223 Mullowney Lane.

The meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. and conclude about 3:30 p.m., according to the Bureau.

Stakeholders and interested parties in both Montana and Wyoming are encouraged to attend the meeting and participate in the discussions, the Bureau stated.
