RMMS grapplers place well at Worland Invitational

This past week the Rocky Mountain Middle School wrestling team traveled to Worland for their Worland Invitational, the biggest meet so far.

The eighth-grade class did well this week. Benson Jolley took first again in his weight class (115-120), scoring 23 team points. Tejeo Scheeler placed second in his weight division (148-153), scoring 14 team points, and Michael Broederlow placed second in the 183-200 weight class, scoring 14 points. 

As for the seventh graders, Brooks Brost placed third (98 pounds), scoring 7 team points. Xavier Hetland placed third in the 129-128 weight class, with a total of 9 team points. Hudson Moore placed fourth in his weight division (84), scoring 3 team points.

Wyatt Blank placed first in his division (91), scoring 17.5 team points, Dally Malson placed second in his division (155), scoring 4 team points and Henry Pincoske placed fourth in his weight division (108-114) with 4 team points.

The sixth-grade class: Tripp Hopkin placed second in his division (65-70), scoring 2 team points, Maddox Ward placed third (65-70) and Mason Haslem placed fourth in his division (91-93), scoring 4 team points.

As for the wrestlers from Burlington, Riggin Harris placed first  in the 97-98 weight class with 18 team points, Chase Allen placed second at 117-121, scoring 14 team points, and Raegan Wood placed second in his division (121-130), scoring 14 team points.

This week the wrestlers will travel and battle it out on the mat in Greybull Thursday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m.
