Sheriff’s report Alpaca heads towards freedom

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Department received the following calls for the week of December 11 to December 17:
Dec. 11: 9:03 a.m.- A distracted driver was reported on Highway 310 near Lovell. The call was determined to be unfounded, but the driver was cited for no insurance and no driver’s license in possession.
2:44 p.m.- An alpaca was wandering on Lane 6 near Cowley. The owner was called and located the alpaca, taking it back to the residence.
3:42 p.m.- A caller on Cedar Street in Frannie complained of a neighbor playing loud music. Officers responded, and the neighbor turned the music down.
Dec. 13: 6:19 a.m.- A driver reported hitting a horse with his semi on Highway 310 at milepost 234 near Lovell. The call was referred to highway patrol.
11:31 a.m.- Bomb threats were reported at Lovell and Rocky Mountain schools.
Dec. 15: 7:08 a.m.- The Sheriff’s Department checked on a traffic stop in Frannie for a car that was pulled over by highway patrol.
Dec. 16: 12:57 a.m.- Officers assisted Lovell Police Department at the Shoshone Bar in response to reports of a fight. No fight was found.
2:31 p.m.- An alarm was activated on Highway 32 near Lovell. The home security company called to report the alarm, but no break-in was found.
  Note: The calls listed above were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
