Sheriff’s report: Deputies seek info on damaged signs

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office received the following calls for the week of July 22-28:

July 23: Deputies checked on a vehicle that was abandoned in Frannie.

Deputies were asked to perform a welfare check in Frannie. Everything checked out OK.

A report of an evicted renter who refused to move out of a rental in Cowley was investigated by deputies.

July 24: North Big Horn Search and Rescue reported that a young woman who was missing had been found in Billings.

An individual reported missing in Cowley was contacted, and the reporting party was notified that he was on his way home.

July 25: Deputies assisted with a vehicle that was stuck near Cowley.

An agitated individual left on his own after being confronted by deputies at the county annex building in Lovell.

Deputies checked on an abandoned vehicle on Highway 14A near Lovell. The vehicle was broken down, and the owner had it towed.

Extra patrol was conducted at the Horseshoe Bend Marina.

Deputies mediated a dispute between family members in Deaver.

July 26: An investigation is underway into an assault that was reported in Deaver.

An individual was referred to the CARES organization for help following a family dispute in Deaver.

No injuries were reported following a minor fender bender at the Wyoming Port of Entry in Frannie.

A father and son were separated after a dispute that took place in Deaver.

July 27: Deputies are seeking information from the public following an act of vandalism where two signs were damaged in Frannie.

Deputies received a report of a domestic dispute in Cowley. It turned out the incident took place in Powell and was referred to authorities in Powell.

Note: The above calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
