Sheriff’s report: Dogs wander free in Byron

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Department received the following calls for the week of January 22 to January 28:
January 22: 7:46 a.m.- A deer collided with a vehicle on Highway 32 and Lane 13 near Lovell. There were no human injuries, but the deer was dead.
January 24: 9:55 a.m.- A lost dog was reported on North Big Horn St. in Byron. The dog was not confirmed to have been located.
January 25: 6:29 p.m.- A car hit a deer at Good 2 Go on Highway 310 near Lovell. No injuries occurred and the case was referred to highway patrol.
January 27: 10:37 p.m.- A caller complained that their neighbor’s dog was out. Officers contacted both the dog owner and the caller.
2:00 p.m.- The state champion Lovell cheerleaders were escorted by the Sheriff’s department, Lovell police, Lovell fireman and North Big Horn Hospital ambulance. Lots of noise was made to escort the successful cheerleaders into town.

Note: The calls listed above were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
