Sheriff report: Share-a-Stocking presents stolen from vehicle

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office received the following calls for the week of Dec. 16-19:

December 16: 11:27 a.m. – A deputy came upon a white Toyota pickup on West Main in Lovell near the sugar factory with its flashers on. The deputy spoke to the drive, and everything was fine.

December 17: 8:22 a.m. – The LHS school resource officer reported that a female student had hit a deer near the intersection of U.S. 14A and Highway 37 east of Lovell driving a 1999 Toyota 4-Runner and had gotten a ride to school. The student had minor cuts from broken glass.

December 18: 8:47 a.m. – The infamous wayward donkey was once again reported out on the Cannery Road between the Oasis Junction and Cowley near Wilson Brothers Construction. A deputy responded, and a Wilson Brothers employee led the donkey back to where he should be.

6:51 p.m. – A woman reported that Share-a-Stocking and Toys for Tots presents had been stolen from her vehicle on U.S. 14A East while she was at work. The case is under investigation.

December 19: 7:40 p.m. – A caller reported that he had run off the road and rolled his truck north of Lovell on Road 16 but was uninjured. The incident took out a stop sign and a TCT phone box. The family of the driver, Kasey Jordan, 18, was planning to pull the vehicle out and take it away.

11:16 p.m. – A caller reported hitting a deer on U.S. 14A east of Lovell near the causeway. There were no reported injuries, and the Wyoming Highway Patrol was notified and responded.

Note: The above calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
