Sue Carol Stewart, 78, of Lovell, died on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at Billings Clinic.The day before Mother’s Day, Sue Carol Lynn Stewart was born on May 8, 1937, in Lovell to Herrold Lynn and Elizabeth Ola Dalley, known to many as “Bub & Ola.”Sue is the granddaughter of Ira Wilder Lynn and Polly Amanda Allred. On her mother’s side, she is the granddaughter of Samuel Alfred Dalley and Virgie Audrey Benson.[caption id="attachment_10525" align="alignright" width="222"]Sue Carol Stewart Sue Carol Stewart[/caption]After Sue was born, her brother Dale joined the family. Four years later a set of twins, Phil and Phyllis, came along, followed by another sister, Shirley, and lastly, the baby of the family Ron. For a short time they lived in a small house on Shoshone Avenue in Lovell, where the house still stands today. At a later time they moved to a farm south of Lovell, where Sue and the rest of her family were raised. Many happy memories and funny stories developed there and have been passed down through the years.Sue graduated from Lovell High School with the class of 1955. Following high school, she attended college in Powell, where she took secretarial and bookkeeping classes. She was employed by Taggart Construction Co. in Cody, Big Horn County Extension office in Lovell and later Sage Creek Refinery for 32 years.When Sue was working in Cody, she met Bob Stewart, who was driving truck for the Husky Oil Company. Bob and Sue were married on Aug. 25, 1960, in Billings. They raised six children together, and were married for 50 years.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Stewart; two sisters, Mary Lynn, who died at birth, and Shirley Gairrett; one brother, Dale Lynn; and two sons, James Stewart and Robert Paul Stewart (stepson).She is survived by her three children, son Mike (Cindy) Stewart of Cowley, daughter Lori (Roger) Hoffman of Cowley and son Lynn Stewart of Billings; stepdaughter Jane (Steve) Bleth; sister Phyllis Carr of Belle Fourche; brothers Phil (Emma) Lynn of Page, Ariz., and Ron (Jolene) Lynn of Cowley; sisters-in-law Donna Lynn of Cody, Dora Jane Nicola of Cody and Sharon Stewart of Casper; brother-in-law Carroll Gairrett of Laurel; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins of the Lynn and Stewart families.Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at the Lovell LDS Stake Center. Haskell Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Burial was at the Lovell Cemetery.
