Watch party brings community together through music and service

More than 162 people gathered at the Lovell Wyoming Stake Center on June 26 for a special watch party featuring the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square performing from the iconic Hollywood Bowl in California.

Held as part of the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the free community event welcomed families, friends and neighbors for an inspiring evening of music, fellowship and service. Most attendees remained for the entire two-hour concert, enjoying refreshments of ice cream and cookies while watching the broadcast.

The audience was treated to memorable performances by guest artists Stephanie J. Block, Sebastian Arcelus, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, The Bonner Family and Donny Osmond, whose talents combined with the choir to present an uplifting program filled with songs of hope, faith and encouragement.

The evening also featured a community food and pantry drive benefiting the Lovell Food Pantry. Guests arrived with generous donations, contributing more than 360 food and household items — exceeding the original goal of 250 items by nearly 44 percent. The donations will provide meaningful assistance to local families and demonstrated the community’s willingness to serve others.

Beyond the impressive attendance and generous donations, the watch party fulfilled its greatest purpose by bringing people together through inspiring music and shared faith. The evening strengthened friendships, encouraged service and left attendees with a renewed sense of hope and gratitude — making it a memorable celebration of both community and country.

Organizers expressed heartfelt appreciation to the many volunteers who made the event possible.
