What's your love story? Ed and Mary Alice Ewart

Ed and Mary Alice first met at a church single adult activity in Sheridan. They didn’t have much to do with each other there. 

They ended up at a church camp a few months later. Ed gave Mary Alice’s daughter a ride back to camp from the canoe pond. While dropping her off, he loudly asked if she knew where her mom was going. Mary Alice heard him and was not impressed that Ed was getting in her business. 

That evening Ed asked Mary Alice to dance to a country western song. On the way to the dance floor, he asked what kind of music she liked. She said, “I like rock and roll.” He felt like he’d blown it. 

Mary Alice’s son and daughter fell in love with Ed before she did. They dated for a few more months, and Ed finally convinced the rock and roll girl to marry him. That was 28 years ago.
