Wyo-Ben announces decision to close Lovell plant

Wyo-Ben, Inc., has announced a revision to plant operations in Wyoming designed to enhance production capability at its plants located in Greybull and Thermopolis.“We are proceeding with a plan to gradually step down production at our Sage Creek plant in Lovell, and eventually place it into a hibernation state,” said David Brown, president and CEO of Wyo-Ben. ”This is not planned to be a permanent closure.“Regrettably, we have experienced some layoffs. However, as we implement our phased shut down of Sage Creek we will be working diligently to provide opportunities to employees at one of our other facilities. Wyo-Ben will continue to service all of our customers during this transition period. We expect the modifications at the Greybull and Thermopolis plants to give us greater capability to better serve our customers.”Wyo-Ben, is a privately held, family-owned business.
