Yellowstone Behavior Health launches grant program

The Yellowstone Behavioral Health Foundation (YBHF) recently announced a grant program designed to support tax exempt organizations in the Big Horn Basin providing mental health treatment.

In 2024 the merger between Yellowstone Behavioral Health Center, Cloud Peak Counseling and Big Horn Basin Counseling resulted in a merged entity now identified as Oxbow Center providing offices in Cody, Powell, Lovell, Basin and Worland. YBHF is an independent organization and is not connected to Oxbow Center, the foundation board said in a release.

The members of the foundation board are Colin Simpson, Frank Middleton, Roy Eckerdt, Wally Johnson, Paul Cali and Becky Ransom. Board president Simpson stated, “We are excited about providing continuous support for mental health initiatives in the Big Horn Basin. We look forward to working with other non-profits to strengthen the mental health of our community through innovation, collaboration and education.”

YBHF will be accepting grant applications for funding up to $5,000. Grant guidelines and application paperwork can be downloaded from the Foundation’s Facebook page. The 2025 funding period will allow applications to be accepted between August 1 and September 30, 2025.

The application requests a short description of the initiative, its objectives, the tax-exempt status of the grantee, any partnerships, the collaborations established to accomplish the initiative and a budget along with its list of board members.
