Jam-Making Canning Class coming to Lovell September 10
If you’ve ever wanted to turn your summer fruit into something sweet and shelf-stable, now’s your chance. The University of Wyoming Extension is offering a Jam-Making Boiling Water Canning Class on Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Big Horn Federal Savings Bank in Lovell.
This hands-on class will teach the basics of safe home canning using the boiling water bath method—perfect for beginners and seasoned home preservers alike. Participants will go home with a jar of jam and the confidence to preserve their own fruits at home.
There is a $15 supply fee, and space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Registration closes on September 8 at 4:30 pm.
