Police report: Football fireworks send Whiskey scampering

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of October 13-19:

October 13: 4:06 p.m. – A caller reported that a rock had been thrown through their window at Bair’s Trailer Court on West Second Street. The case is under investigation.

4:29 p.m. – A caller reported that a dog was in their yard on Great Western Avenue and acting aggressively. The dog was put back in its own yard and the owner contacted.

7:50 p.m. – A person dressed in all black was seen walking out of a caller’s backyard on Carmon Avenue and moving toward Jersey. The party called back and said the person may have been a neighbor’s girlfriend, who was dressed in black, but police conducted extra patrol at the location.

October 14: 9:36 a.m. -- A caller wished to document a scam attempt in which he was being pressured to provide a credit card number for Home Safe Warranty.

October 15: 1:08 p.m. – A caller reported finding a brownish blonde medium sized dog loose at the market. An officer took the dog to the animal control shelter.

October 16: 3:56 p.m. – An officer checked out a report of a gray, four-door pickup left running at Rose City West. It was an electrician’s vehicle on site for work at one of the apartments.

October 17: 2:08 p.m. – DFS called requesting an officer’s help in convincing an 81-year-old female she was being scammed.

4:28 p.m. – A caller asked to speak to an officer after someone walked through freshly poured concrete, saying he was able to fix most of it, however.

6:05 p.m. – A caller reported that the family’s black and tan corgi cross named Whiskey had run off from the home on Hampshire Avenue after being spooked by fireworks at the football game.

7:39 p.m. – A caller reported that his dogs on Eighth Street had been attacked by two huskies after entering the caller’s yard. He wanted the incident documented but chose not to pursue charges.

October 19: 1:03 a.m. – A REDDI call came in regarding a person heading from Powell to Cowley in a blue Toyota.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
