Mrs. Claus makes rare appearance at the Cowley Christmas celebration

The Cowley Recreation Board hosted its annual Cowley Christmas celebration on Saturday evening, with the highlight of the night coming when Santa Claus arrived to greet children and families for photos and holiday cheer. Adding to the excitement, Mrs. Claus made a rare appearance alongside Santa, delighting kids and creating a memorable photo opportunity for families.

The evening also featured a community tree lighting, hot chocolate and donuts, letters to Santa, holiday crafts and live music provided by the Rocky Mountain High School guitar class under the direction of Gerry Burton.

The event was made possible through the efforts of the Cowley Recreation Board and a large group of community volunteers. Those assisting throughout the evening included Stephanie Ames, Sally Bernhisel, Emily Simmons, Richard and Merideth Despain, Michelle Banks, Rose Ames, Molly Thomas, Jlee and Pat Steed, Deidre and Shang Clendenen, Mariah Mader, members of the Rocky Mountain wrestling team and coach Eddie Whiting, Kee and Shon Ostler and several others.

Organizers expressed their gratitude to the many other volunteers who assisted during the evening, acknowledging that there were too many to name and hoping no one was inadvertently overlooked.
