Police report: Father arguing with son turns on person recording him

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of April 13-19:

April 13: 1:47 p.m. – A boyfriend wanted to trespass the mother and sister of his girlfriend from his residence, but since his girlfriend was not in agreement, the criminal trespass order was denied.

3:08 p.m. – A female driver and male driver on Main Street traded reports of being followed, with the male taking photos of the female’s license plate during the incident. An investigation found no connection between the two and that the incident was a misunderstanding.

10:08 p.m. – Two dogs found running loose at the Maverik were taken to the animal control shelter. The owner later paid the impound fee, and the dogs were released from custody.

April 14: 4:11 p.m. – Teenagers walking on East Sixth Street reported that an adult male confronted them in front of his home, accusing them of saying something to him as they walked by. When they would not tell him anything, he reportedly became upset, and they fled to call police. The man returned to his home, and the kids were advised to choose a different walking route in the future.

April 15: 2:47 p.m. – An officer investigated a report of illegal dumping at the vegetative waste site north of town, where someone had dumped 4x4 posts. An officer was unable to determine who dumped the posts.

5:59 p.m. – A caller reported a fight in progress on West Second Street with the passerby recording the verbal argument on his phone after calling 911. The father then began arguing with the passerby for recording the matter. An officer arrived and calmed things down.

April 16: 11:05 a.m. – A man accused a woman of stalking him. He was advised to contact CARES to obtain a stalking or harassment order.

April 17: 3:14 p.m. – A caller reported a little girl around 3 years old walking southbound on Kansas Avenue. An officer arrived at the location but was unable to locate the toddler.

4:24 p.m. – A possibly suicidal individual was taken to the hospital for evaluation by a counselor after calling for help.

April 18: 7:27 a.m. – After a caller reported that the family cat was missing on Hampshire Avenue, the family reported that the cat had been found.

7:43 p.m. – A man living on Washington Avenue reported that lightbulbs on the outside of his residence have been unscrewed multiple times. He requested extra patrol.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
