Ronald Paul “Ron” Ferguson

Ronald Paul “Ron” Ferguson of Lovell passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, in Cody a few days after his 81st birthday.

He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on August 18, 1945, to Haskell Ferguson and Lena “Peggy” Ferguson. 

A certified public accountant by profession, Ron lived a life filled with family, memories and experiences that will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him. His presence touched the lives of his family and friends, and the stories, laughter and memories he leaves behind will continue to be shared for generations.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Marsha; children Jessica (Jackson) Whitacre, Scott (Angela) Ferguson, Christopher (Kirsty) Ferguson, Rhonda (Cody) Gatch and Marlon (Pamela) Ferguson; grandchildren Justin, Brittany, David, James, Leah, Chandler, Westley, Jaden, Xander, Sophie, Nathan, Austin and Bailey; seven great-grandchildren, with an eighth on the way; along with a host of friends.

There will be a viewing Friday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell, and a graveside service is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Lovell Cemetery. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at Haskell Funeral Home Saturday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m.

Ron will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
