SBA disaster assistance available for Wyoming businesses and private nonprofits

The U.S. Small Business Administration announced the availability of low-interest federal disaster loans for eligible small businesses and private nonprofit organizations in Wyoming that have been impacted by drought occurring May 1 and continuing.

Big Horn, Campbell, Johnson and Sheridan counties are eligible for these loans in Wyoming as well as Montana counties Big Horn and Powder River.

Small businesses, private nonprofits and faith-based organizations can apply for the low-interest loans. Small agricultural cooperatives and nurseries as well as small aquaculture enterprises can also apply. 

Loan assistance is available. Economic Injury Disaster Loans: Working capital assistance for operational expenses caused by the disastrous drought. 

Up to $2 million is available in loan funding with interest rates as low as 4% for small businesses and 3.625% for private nonprofit organizations. Loan terms can be up to 30 years and no interest or required payments are due for the first 12 months following disbursement.
