LHS Music to present ‘A Night on Broadway’ Tuesday

The Lovell High School music program will hold a special fundraising event next Tuesday as the LHS Music Performance Class presents “A Night on Broadway” at the school multipurpose room.

LHS music director Carisa French said the show will include a variety of musical theater favorites.

“The performance will showcase songs and monologues from several shows, rather than one full production,” French said. “Selections include pieces from classics such as The Music Man and The Sound of Music, along with newer favorites such as Wicked, Hamilton and Hadestown.

“The format gives students opportunities to explore different characters, musical styles and stories while developing their singing, acting and stage presence. The audience can enjoy a little bit of Broadway while supporting local student performers.”

Tickets are $10 each, with proceeds helping fund the class’ spring show. Tickets are available from any performance class student or at the door.
