The Lovell High School volleyball team played one final match ahead of the regional tournament last week, traveling to Powell Friday to meet the conference leading Powell Lady Panthers.

The Rocky Mountain volleyball team pulled out a hotly contested five-set win against Wind River last week, but found themselves unable to recover in time to compete against Tongue River the next day.
The 1-1 week now places the Lady Grizz at 11-15-3 at the end of the regular season.

Growing Grizzlies find success at state meet

The rebuilding Rocky Mountain High School cross country team gained experience and turned in some strong performances at the Wyoming State Cross Country meet in Cheyenne Saturday.
The Grizz and Lady Grizz held their own among Class 2A schools running at the Cheyenne Country Club.
“It was beautiful, maybe even warm,” head coach Tim Jones said.
He added that the course was a good course for the runners.
“They kept us running on the short grass a lot of the time, so the course was nice,” he said.

The Lovell High School cross country team found the elevation, as well as top competitors, to be a challenge at the Wyoming State Cross Country meet in Cheyenne Saturday.
But the team turned in a strong performance, especially the Lovell boys, who placed fourth in Class 2A at the championship meet.
Coach Caleb Sanders said he loved the course at the Cheyenne Country Club, and the weather was excellent for running.
